Antique Liegoise Writing Table with 2 Drawers is a splendid example of the time-honored traditions of quality craftsmanship for which the region is so well known for the past centuries!  Able artisans utilized indigenous old-growth oak to produce the elegant contours of the beveled top surface, which presides over the apron below, which has been hand-carved on all four sides with resplendent shell, foliate and cross-hatching motifs.  Four graceful cabriole legs provide support and are themselves carved with acanthus fronds and foot tips just above the cloven hooves.  A surprising feature are two drawers completely concealed into the side aprons that pull out to afford substantial storage!
