19th Century French Louis XVI Walnut Writing Table ~ Desk makes an attractive addition to any room, and can double as a center table as it is beautifully embellished from all angles! Crafted from sumptuous French walnut, it features the rounded ends that eliminate sharp corners yet still provide ample writing & display surface. The front and back are adorned with relief carvings of the timeless torchere and carquois de fleche symbolizing the power and longevity of the French monarchy, with rosettes on each side atop the elegant tapered and fluted legs. The legs are joined again below with a double bowed stretcher centered with a stunning carved urn finial. The full width drawer provides more than enough storage for laptops and modern necessities for today's efficient offices, libraries and studies.
