19th Century Dutch Renaissance Drop-Front Secretary Desk in Stripped Oak adds both timeless style and whimsy in one piece!  Shallower than most, it is ideal for efficient floor plans.  The very top boasts a guard rail in oak carved with floral and foliates, leading the eye to the slant front which is lavished with gryffins flanking an urn, all framed by fletching detail.  Each of the four drawers are similarly embellished, with a brace of lions' heads serving as drawer pulls.  Two supports pull out when one wishes to use the desk, and inside that compartment appears six cubby holes overlooking the surprisingly spacious workspace.  Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
