Antique French Louis XVI Mahogany Console ~ Server with Carrara Marble is both diminutive and charming, perfect for that special niche, an entryway or landing, or as a hallway surface.  Only 13.5 inches deep, it tucks close to the wall, providing the perfect carefree yet elegant surface that only polished Carrara marble can provide.  Broadly curved corners make it even more traffic friendly.  The apron follows the marble contours, and contains a single drawer at the middle fitted with cast brass ring pulls and a finely detailed key guard.  Four tapered legs with brass tipped feet provide support, and are connected below with a full width shelf doubling the surface for display.  As a finishing touch, a gold French border is painted on the apron and leg faces for added visual appeal.
