Pair 19th Century Meiji Period Japanese Imari Lidded Urns are extraordinarily well preserved, retaining their vivid coloration derived from copper and cobalt based pigments even after over a century of enjoyment!  Charming Foo Dogs on the tops of the lids guard the vases below, and even the lids boast amazing hand-painted artistry depicting various foliate and floral motifs, all the way down to the octagonal lip.  The vases below also feature an octagonal facet design, and are lavished with naturalistic garden scenes interspersed and framed by the foliate and flower designs.  Excellent for displaying fresh or permanent florals or for decorative accents unto themselves, the pair will bring a smile to your face every time you enter the room!
