19th Century French Faience Hand-Painted Petite Jardiniere from Rouen exhibits a wonderfully colorful and charming example of the exquisite porcelains coming from the region over the past several centuries!  The shape is reminiscent of a shield motif, with the scrollworks enhanced by the painted adornment.  Rich coloration typical of provincial French communities comes from earthen tones, with cobalt blue, saffron yellow, burgundy red and olive green combining to create a vivid display sure to catch the eyes of discerning visitors!  Designed for one large flower or a group of small flowers.
