Antique French Neoclassical Sack of Pearls Bronze & Crystal Chandelier with Bacchus is one of the most spectacular lighting fixtures we've had the pleasure of offering! Combining bronze with a gilt finish and various sizes and styles of cut crystals, it creates a spectacular centerpiece in a design that has its inspirations from ancient Greek and Roman architecture for a truly timeless look. Bold acanthus plumes create a crown at the very top, which can be mounted flush to the ceiling or serve as an intermediate canopy if the fixture is hung from a section of chain. Internally, a solid brass framework contains the concealed structural elements which include interior lighting that furnishes a lovely glow from within the drapery of a multitude of crystal strings hung from the canopy to the main body of the hoop. The hoop is lavished with a wide variety of intricately detailed castings, depicting ribbon and bows suspending graceful floral garlands wrapping around the entire extremity. Alternating with the bows are castings of Bacchus, the god of wine and mirth, also known as Dionysus in Greek mythology. Under the hoop are hung vertical style crystals in concentric circles gradually reducing in diameter to the base. Either lit or not, it's a stunning work of art that will captivate everyone's attention immediately upon entering the room!
