Antique French Baroque Mazarin Bronze Chandelier represents the stately elegance that defines the Louis XIV style, and was meticulously cast in solid bronze then polished for a lustrous, golden effect. Several links of the original chain, plus the original canopy survive with the fixture, which consists of a mace-like central shaft adorned with embossed with scrolls, cross-hatching and stylized shell motifs. The eight arms are adorned with elaborate acanthus fronds, finely detailed floral and classical motifs leading up to the exquisitely crafted bobeches. The base is an urn form with detailed pendant finial for a finishing touch. Realistic looking wax candle sleeve covers and newly electrified, all included in the price!
