Antique French Louis XIV Carved Fruitwood Caned Chair presents a regal yet casual look thanks to the elegantly carved fruitwood framework combined with caned seat and seat back.  The caning provides lightweight comfort that "breathes" in the summertime, perfect for warmer regions.  Carved shell and acanthus plumes with cross hatching adorn the multiple arches of the seat back crown, with the same theme repeated on the apron below, with acanthus leaves and scrolls adorning the gracefully contoured legs, which are connected with double-lyre stretchers.  Cane seat shows some stretching.
