PAIR 19th Century French Louis Philippe Period Painted Bookcases ~ Display Cabinets is a rare find indeed!  Perfect for creating symmetry to a room, each of the "twins" is over seven feet tall but less than four feet wide, making them ideal for a wider variety of spaces.  Two surfaces in each upper tier allow one to display anything from books to collections to family keepsakes.  The slightly deeper lower caseworks open wide to reveal two more surfaces within each, perfect for discreet yet abundant storage.  There are even two drawers per piece with steel pendant pulls, allowing more storage and organization opportunities.  The tailored lines of the cases are restrained, which allows them to blend with a wide variety of interior styles, accentuated by fine molding detail from the crown to the turned legs below.  Mitered corners not only present an interesting architectural feature, but also "soften" the effect on the traffic pattern of the room.  The painted finish has achieved a lovely patina over the past century and a half!
