Antique French Neoclassical Louis XVI Bookcase in Stripped Oak is a fantastic find, perfect for blending with a wide variety of interior decorating themes, even modern and casual!  The tailored, rectilinear architecture was inspired by ancient Greek and Roman architects, with a multi-tiered crown accented with dentil molding trim overlooking the casework below.  Solid planks of old growth oak comprise the entire case, and surround the upper two thirds of the doors which are glazed for viewing the contents displayed within, and with chamfered panels on the bottom third accented with rosettes on the corners for more discreet storage.  Doors open to reveal unencumbered access to four adjustable shelves for a total of five surfaces, making it very adaptable to a wide range of items not just restricted to books.  A little carved accent on the tops of the cornerposts and a tailored base with sturdy feet completes the package. Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
