19th Century English Oak Secretary ~ Bookcase was designed for a very efficient floor plan, indeed! Hand-crafted from solid oak with 16 glass panes allowing display above, and solid brass bale pulls in the Chippendale style on the drawers below, it exudes a timeless presence while simultaneously creating an incredibly workable and functional purpose for all to appreciate. Tailored molding and pediment style feet are the only other adornments, creating a tailored look that is very compatible with a wide variety of interior designs. Three upper shelves are adjustable creating four total surfaces above. What appears to be five drawers below is in fact three spacious full width drawers under a pull-out secretary desk! The front of the top two "drawers" drops down to reveal the original tooled leather writing surface as well as interior drawers, cubby holes and even a central small cabinet. A phenomenal choice as a student desk, it will serve your family faithfully for generations to come!
