18th Century Dutch Louis XIV Style Vitrine ~ Bookcase ~ Display Case is a remarkable design being only a foot deep, making it perfect for cozy rooms or high traffic areas, but with enough visual presence to command attention no matter where it's placed!  The boldly arched crown is centered at the top with a sculpture of a stylized shell in an Italian rendition of the fleur de lys design.  The arched upper door matches the contours of the crown, and is fitted with nine panes, enhanced by three panes on each side making ambient light the only source of illumination necessary.  The inside has been painted a pale green that accentuates the items displayed within, including two original shelves that line up perfection with the molding that frames the glass.  Below we find four spacious drawers for storage, each fitted with finely crafted brass bale pulls with fancy guards.  Tapered and faceted columns legs connected with stretchers and ball feet complete the look.
