Antique French Louis XV Carved Vitrine ~ Curio Cabinet will make a splendid display case for your most cherished family heirlooms and collectibles.  Hand-crafted and meticulously carved from select white oak, it features styling inspired by the Regence period, transitioning from Louis XIV to Louis XV.  The arched bonnet is centered with a Rococo style carving, and overlooks the arched upper door generously glazed and framed with undulating, carved shell and foliate designs.  The corresponding side panels are also glazed allowing abundant ambient light in, enhanced by two glass shelves meaning interior lighting is not really necessary.  Below the display portion is a wonderful storage cabinet fitted with a brace of doors lavishly carved with multiple molding layers, stylized shell and foliate motifs, and fitted with brass key guards and hinges.  The undulating, carved apron surrounds all three sides, and is supported by four scrolled legs with escargot feet.  The shallow design makes it an excellent choice for cozy rooms or high-traffic spots.
