Antique Dutch Neoclassical Petite Vitrine ~ Curio Cabinet is a marvelous example of craftsmanship on a diminutive scale! Standing a little over four feet in height, it is the perfect choice for a cozy niche, under an open stairway, or in a corner. Designed with a trapezoidal casework, it maximizes one's ability to view the items displayed within on the three surfaces inside the glass compartment, with two shelves contoured like the lower open shelf set just above the floor below. Bold urn-shaped legs in front add visual appeal at the base, with a colonnade form to the glazed cabinet above fitted with a single door for easy access. The colonnade forms are fitted with hand-rolled glass and on the sides, adorned with subtle rosettes, while the door features rosettes and wheat bordering plus capstone motifs at the top of the arches. The crown consists of a finely molded affair lavished with elegantly scrolled acanthus flourishes in bold relief for the perfect finishing touch!
