Antique French Louis XVI Painted Armchair with Needlepoint Tapestry is as elegant as they come, yet surprisingly comfortable as well!  Oval seatback is contoured to conform to one's back, and the generously sized seat is bracketed by wraparound armrests that are also padded.  Spiral ribbon carvings pervade the design, with a couple of flower blossoms on top and acanthus plumes on the armrest tips and supports.  Rosettes appear above the tapered & fluted legs.  The show stopper, though, is the wonderfully pastel colored needlepoint tapestry finely woven to depict a vivid floral scene on the seatback, seat and even the armrests, adding a durable artistic touch that is beyond compare!
