19th Century Italian Renaissance Corner Armchair was designed to take advantage of an otherwise unused space in the corner. Sculpted from solid walnut, it features a semicircular armrest supported by three turned uprights between which have been placed sculpted panels depicting bird, shell and foliate motifs. A young angel's face bracketed by wings faces directly up from the armrest at the rear, carved in full relief. A classically scrolled apron appears below, framed by the four turned supports with the frontmost carved with a rosette. Upholstered in serviceable damascene fabric, it's perfect for adding an Old World masculine touch to the room.
